As we close out August, I remain focused on the work ahead—ensuring our schools are strong, supporting local economic growth, and keeping Loudoun families safe. With the legislative session on the horizon, I am committed to building on recent progress and addressing the challenges that matter most to our district.

As always, that work starts with showing up in our community and staying connected to the people I represent. There are ample opportunities to lend your voice and get involved, too — it’s how we make real change together!

Indian Independence Day

It is always a joy to join our community to celebrate our traditions!

It was an honor to join community organizations, alongside my colleague Senator Srinivasan, to celebrate Indian Independence Day. We had the opportunity to speak with constituents, take part in meaningful ceremonies, and learn more about the rich traditions of this vibrant culture.

This celebration was a wonderful reminder of the strength and vitality that diversity brings to Loudoun County. Events like this highlight the connections that make our community dynamic, inclusive, and welcoming for all.

Welcome Back

It’s exciting to anticipate what our students will accomplish this year!

It’s time to welcome students, families, and educators back to the classroom! A new school year brings a fresh start—an opportunity to set goals, build connections, and create meaningful experiences together.

Our schools are at the heart of our community. They equip our children with the skills they need to succeed, and serve as anchors that strengthen our neighborhoods. Championing legislation to improve literacy, streamline teacher training, and enhance school safety has been my way of ensuring we continue offering world-class education in Loudoun, and throughout the Commonwealth.

School Supply Drive

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to the Back-to-School Supply Drive. Your generosity is helping students in our community start the year with the tools they need to succeed.

My partner in service, School Board Member April Chandler, and I are honored to continue giving back to the community where we have lived for decades, raised our families, and worked hard alongside so many of you. In these challenging economic times, every act of kindness makes a difference.

We each have the power to do something—big or small—that lifts up our neighbors.

South Asians For American: A Fireside Chat

House District 27, encompassing Eastern Loudoun County, is nearly 20% Asian American and boasts a majority-minority designation. Accordingly, we are excited to invite you to a special event on Thursday, August 28, 2025! Join in for a fireside chat with DNC Vice Chair Shasti Conrad, alongside Asian American and Pacific Islander leaders from across Virginia.

This will be a powerful conversation about representation, leadership, and the future of diverse communities here in the Commonwealth.

ENDORSEMENT ALERT!

Protecting our environment is a responsibility I take seriously; thank you to the Virginia League of Conservation Voters for recognizing my commitment with your endorsement!

Working families are the backbone of our community.  I’m honored to earn the endorsement of the Virginia AFL-CIO for my demonstrated commitment to protecting safe workplaces, fair wages, and workers’ rights.

How My Office Can Help

Navigating state agencies can be confusing and difficult at times. As the delegate for House District 27, I can help you communicate with state agencies such as the Virginia Employment Commission, Departments of Taxation, Social Services, Transportation, and more! I can also submit inquiries with those agencies on your behalf. There are limits to what I can do, however. For example, I am unable to expedite cases or force state agencies to favor your inquiry, provide legal advice or recommend a specific attorney, intervene with judicial issues, overturn decisions, or be involved with matters between private businesses.

Whether you require my office’s assistance, want to bring an issue to my attention, or invite me to a community event, please reach out here: https://atoosareaser.com/help/.

Alongside constituent services, I can submit drafts for commending and memorial resolutions. If you know of a person or organization in the district that deserves special recognition, please submit a request here: resolution request form.
